Retro Tie-Dye Nail Art

Creatives are Testing Out New Ways to Bring the Pattern to Their Fingers

The psychedelic pattern that first arose in the 1960s has been coming back in a big way it seems, with tie-dye lip art designs spreading amongst beauty bloggers, and now tie-dye nail art.

Although there's a number of ways to achieve the look, one of the easiest ways is to use a toothpick to drag the different colors together before they dry on the nail. Alternatively, the so-called "Sharpie hack" can be used to create tie-dye nail art. To execute this versions, one simply needs to combine the ink from a Sharpie with rubbing alcohol into a dish. Once they've painted their nails, they can apply the concoction over top of it, which will generate a unique marbled design.
