Dutch architecture firm OMA released new plans to transform the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow. The original building will be made into a colorful and accessible gallery that makes up Russia's largest museum building. The color scheme was created to create a link to the Moscow river with a brand new visual identity.
OMA's design will reorganize the entire building into four sections including art storage, the collection room, an education center and a festival hall. Each new section will boast its own identity and be connected by a pedestrian circulation path that follows along the Moscow River. By removing a number of walls, the design team plans to make the Tretyakov Gallery look completely different.
