Odd Headed Editorials

The Room Spring/Summer 2012 Axente Photoshoot Depicts Strange Cranium Images

The Room Spring/Summer 2012 photoshoot showcases an assortment of strange cranium-centric snapshots. The black and white images of Vanessa Axente are haunting, in part due to the odd configurations focused upon her head.

This editorial is entitled 'Trash Noir,' fitting well with the dark black and white imagery. Eccentric crowns and tanning goggles surround Axente's face, producing a display that is comedic, spooky and fashionable at the same time. Stylists Ali Toth and Aniko Virag pulled off the looks well, and have added dashes of elegance with long formal lace gowns and an angular pea coat.

Photographer Marton Perlaki executed this unusual production with attention to detail, capturing every last wisp of hair. Viewers will be entranced by this Perlaki production, especially given the replacement of Axente's skull with a clothes hanger.
