‘The Knife’ by Maria Lujan and Wolfgang Krug is an art project that involved staging public murders using a giant knife.
The two artists started by building a massive stabbing utensil out of cardboard. The knife appears to be a kitchen knife based on the shape of the handle and the classic three dots. At the end of the knife, the two artists attached a red piece of paper in the shape of a pool of blood. The two then took to the streets and laid around with the knife sticking into them. Pedestrians were a little surprised when they turned their heads to see a motionless girl with a massive knife sticking out of her.
