The Hellers Spring Summer 2012 line channels the literary vision of sisters Dania and Yoram Heller. Set in Tel Aviv and Los Angeles, the two aim to infuse their clothing lines with intelligence and a keen sense of style. This ‘Wild Child of the Aeolian Isles’ set meets these high standards.
The pieces and general attitude of the Wild Child of the Aeolian Isles were inspired by Bronte’s Jane Eyre. Or, more specifically, by producer Cary Fukunaga’s 2011 film-based account of the story.
Danis became enamored with the narratives independent disposition, a rarity in the controlled and commercialized fashion industry. The Hellers have replicated that very disposition in their collection with unruly prints, glossy finishes and stand out cuts.
