'The Forest' installation is an in-store display that will be set up at the Valextra flagship store in Milan, Italy over the next few months.
The dynamic, naturally inspired handbag display features more than 130 wooden slats that are arranged vertically to recreate the feel of a forest. The installation by architect Kengo Kuma from Tokyo, Japan, beautifully showcases the luxury brand's range of accessories in an environment that makes it feel as though the great outdoors have been brought indoors.
Although the installed wooden slats touch floor-to-ceiling of the interior store space, the illusion of towering trees is furthered by reflective panels on the ceiling, which make it seem as though the tree-like structures are much taller than they actually are.
