Outdoor space can be a crucial part of residential design, so 'The Circular Path House' offers a creative solution when the natural environment is hostile. The home has a unique balcony system that extends from the home and then loops in a large circle, giving residents a complete view of the surrounding region.
Though The Circular Path House is currently a concept and not physically in existence, the home was designed to deal with the specific challenges of its proposed locale: the New Mexico desert. Deserts are obviously difficult places to live, so raising both the home and the path up on a series of 12 stilts makes it far easier for even the least outdoorsy of people. At the same time, the extensive looping balcony allows occupants to take in the nature around them.
