British architecture studio Foster + Partners works in collaboration with plywood manufacturer Isokon to create the Barc dog kennel. It is designed for the annual Barkitecture competition by Goodwoof. The kennel is defined by the arched canopy that is made from a thin sheet of plywood, which can be easily assembled.
Norman Foster speaks about the latest design, stating "It is a delight to present our design at Goodwoof, for the second year running. We have used a refined palette of materials to create Barc, a flat pack kennel that responds to the ever-evolving nature of the workplace. The sparing use of material and detail is rooted in the idea of sustainability – to do more with less."
