Teletretail is a Swiss start-up company that is currently developing a two-wheeled autonomous delivery robot that will is set to be able to drive itself on the roads of cities and suburbs to fulfill deliveries.
The delivery bot is said to be able to reach speeds of up to 50 miles, as it boasts a lot of the same technology as emerging self-driving cars do. As well as just introducing a delivery bot, part of the start-up's mission is to provide small businesses with the means to make the most of this emerging technology.
Teletretail envisions that consumers would be able to opt into a subscription model to partake in the delivery service, or alternatively, have retailers be able to sign up in the instance that no employees are available to make a delivery.
