Chevrolet's Teen Driver Safety System Helps Parents Monitor Skills

In an attempt to improve teen driver safety, Chevrolet unveiled a new Teen Driver Safety System at the New York Auto Show. This system is featured in the 2016 Chevy Malibu and serves as a place for parents to monitor the driving skills of their children. The dashboard includes information on speed warnings, collision alerts and stability controls, making it apparent what areas are in need of improvement. Additionally, all audio systems will be turned off in the car until a driver buckles up.

Since there are many young drivers who are at risk for fatal crashes, this preventative system is a smart way to take a stance on road safety. Since we can often pick up bad driving habits from other drivers, the automated reports from the 2016 Chevy Malibu will be extremely appealing to parents who want to teach their children to be safe drivers.
