The Tree Dasher is a new technical running shoe from sustainable footwear company Allbirds and it's notable for being a high-performance style made with natural fibers. In the past, athletic shoes have almost always entirely crafted from plastic but times are changing and brands are looking for ways that sustainable swaps can be made to better support the environment.
The new running shoe style for men and women boasts a single-piece knit upper is crafted from eucalyptus fiber and merino wool, which is naturally breathable, sweat-wicking and antimicrobial. The technical running shoe stays true to Allbirds’ signature slip-on design, although there are laces for added security during activity. The shoes also even more unique materials like a castor-bean sock liner and a sugarcane-based Sweetfoam midsole.
