Now that so many North American and European households have some sort of coffee pod machine, tea pods really were bound to emerge. A new brand from Portugal, HolyCup reimagines the packaging for tea, putting dried leaves into tiny plastic containers, rather than permeable bags.
This fresh new idea of tea pods required an equally fresh consumer-facing presence, and it was Pedro Bivar who designed this. Sets of 10 single-serving teas are nestled into each bright box, which features a special two-color zigzagging pattern for each flavor. One of the hues on the carton matches the vibrant capsule, enabling the consumer to easily distinguish between the a number of different varieties. Overall, it's an enticing branding scheme that will convert consumers to tea pods––opening up more possibilities for making indulgent tea lattes in one's own kitchen.
