Artist Tamar Frank put up a brilliant LED installation in celebration of the Netherlands-based Into The Great Wide Open music festival. The event, which takes place on an island, prompted her to place over 500 lights throughout a small adjacent pond.
Frank has titled this captivating display of LED lighting Lampyris Noctiluca, a subset of her preceding Fireflies exhibit that took place in 2011 at the Glow fair in Eindhoven. This version of the outdoor concept is currently on display at Hortus Botanicus. The location is remarkably historic as it is one of the most ancient botanical gardens throughout the entire world. That this site is acting as host to Frank's work is a blatant reflection of her expertise.
