Fast-casual Tex-Mex restaurant Tijuana Flats announced that it now has take-home taco meal kits available through UberEATS.
These quick-assembly meal kits will retail for $31.99, and are available for take-out starting on Wednesday July 19. The kits include everything needed to throw a great taco night with the customer's choice of protein, jalapeños, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, cheese, tortillas and chips. The 'Hardly Homemade' meal kits were developed as a way for the quick service restaurant to deliver a speedy take-home option for families without having to out through a complicated catering request.
With more and more companies offering quick, healthy meals at home, meal kit companies like Blue Apron will experience increased competition and will have to develop inventive ways of connecting to consumers.
