Last year, the sports simulator company Visual Sports brought its SwingTrack Mobile to Canada's 103rd Grey Cup in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Designed to enhance the fan experience, the high-tech football simulator gave football aficionados a chance to get a little bit closer to the action.
The WingTruck Mobile is a football simulator that was featured as part of the fan experience zone at the Grey Cup Festival. To make the experience special for the Grey Cup, Visual Sports created custom software just for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. As a result, fans were able to participate in two different games that allowed them to kick the game-winning field goal or compete in a two-minute drill that involved completing passes in order to win the game. Both virtual games used real sports equipment and customized visuals to make fans feel as though they were really on the field.
The high-tech football simulator ultimately gave fans a new way to experience the Grey Cup festivities and to interact with the game itself.
