Active in Time has been working with Apple to develop a swim-tracking app to help swimmers gain more thorough feedback on their workouts. Swimmers have struggled to find a way to pinpoint exact calorie counts and fitness statistics because of the lack of waterproof technology.
Luckily for them, Active in Time CEO Chris Moisan is working tirelessly to fix this problem. A collaboration with Apple Watch is the current project and advances have been made in altering the app's algorithms to better suit Apple's iOS programming. The app is capable of tracking stroke, stroke types and heart rates. Monitoring heart rates will allow for more accurate calorie counts, which is something that swimmers couldn't get a reading on in the past.
Despite tremendous strides, Moisan and his team have to be patient. The current Apple Watch in stores is not waterproof, forcing Active in Time to wait for future waterproof versions of the Apple Watch.
