Sustainable Slip-On Shoes

Sanuk's SustainaSole Styles Help to Divert Foam Waste

Sanuk's SustainaSole line debuted in July 2020 and the brand's second collection is launching with styles that boast 55% total recycled material by weight. The brand-new SustainaSole styles are vegan and they are available in varieties like the Donna style for women and the Skuner style for men, both of which are slip-on designs.

These new shoes were created thanks to Sanuk's partnership with BLUMAKA, which helps to divert foam waste and provide an alternative to the use of virgin foams. Sanuk and BLUMAKA grind scrap materials into smaller pieces that can be used to form comfortable and durable filler for the soles of shoes. This sustainable component of the styles are joined by other materials like recycled fibers.
