Atlanta-based Designer Mimi Tin’s idea for her Sushi Style line of furniture came to her in grad school as an assignment fulfillment to create a piece of furniture from a design period. She chose pop art with an Asian influence. Her original design evolved into her premier piece, the Carrot Ottoman, which consists of six individual wedge-shaped cushions that sit on top of a wooden base, and are held together with a "seaweed wrap" to complete the sushi look.
Mimi’s talents go beyond furniture design, as she offers mini versions of the sushi furniture as accessories for the two dolls in her Sushiami plush doll collection. Click on the pictures of the Sydney and Brooke dolls in the gallery above to see how sushilicious they really are!
