Cinnamon is a dining establishment, tucked into Dublin's lively Ballsbridge neighborhood, and thanks to the work done by Kingston Lafferty Design, the business is perceived as a playfully surrealist restaurant.
The studio was liberal with its use of color, texture, and shape. Looking to captivate guests from the moment they set foot in the establishment, Kingston Lafferty Design played around with scale, creating a "dollhouse-effect" entryway and multiple wow-factors—great examples of which are the "oversized lollipop-like lamps."
For the surrealist restaurant, Kingston Lafferty Design wanted to create "an imaginary and dreamlike world." As a result, the firm drew inspiration from the art movement, as well as "the bright, psychedelic interiors fashioned by Danish designer Verner Panton in the late 1960s."
