This sunken conversation pit has been designed by the ONE-CU Interior Design Lab as a part of the Guanhu Sales Center in Guiyang, China as a way to help elevate the client experience. The lobby area features a spacious section that is sunken right into the floor and provides prospective clients with ample area to comfortably sit while discussing details. A wrap-around seating section is accented by circular tables and armchairs that will provide just the right level of support for sitters.
The sunken conversation pit highlights beige components and is finished with a fireplace in the center that helps to create a dramatic focal point within the seating area. The section is positioned in contrast to the dark-wood shelving that's adjacent and enhances a sense of duality in the space.
