Tokyo label nanamica announced it is tapping Puma for its latest ‘Suede VTG’ footwear offering. Arriving with GORE-TEX technology, the sneakers boast a monochromatic design and come in two neutral colors: navy and beige. The entirety of the exterior is coated in suede, with Puma’s black cat logo covering the tongue tabs and a GORE-TEX tag beside the lacing system. The laces come dipped in the same shade as the uppers of the sneaker, and the outsole follows the same color scheme.
PUMA’s Head of Design for Sportstyle Footwear, Ayesha Atlee, commented in a press release: "We decided to leverage the PUMA Suede because of its timeless design, mixing it with Nanamica’s neutral swatches and their signature use of GORE-TEX fabric was a must to accomplish our vision."
This collaboration is the first between nanamica and Puma, but consumers can stay on the lookout for additional silhouettes in the near future. The ‘Suede VTG’ from nanamica and Puma launches on August 26 via the nanamica website.
