In London, space comes at a premium, and Stockholm- and London-based Studiomama has come up with a creative system in order to maximize the square footage available in a tiny home. The design studio incorporated modular sliding furniture made out of plywood into the 140 square foot single-storey London home, turning the tiny space into a cozy and versatile abode.
Studiomama's design was inspired by other necessarily minute spaces, such as small caravans and boat cabins. As such, the studio worked in things like a fold-out Murphy bed, a standing desk, and extendable dining benches with pink cushions.
All of the plywood furniture is built around the perimeter of the home as well, as this layout maximizes open space in the tiny building.
