Studio Tate Designs a New Textural Design for Relinque

Melbourne-based design studio Studio Tate creates a new textural design using raw and tactile materials for the Relinque spa. It is right on the Northeast side of Melbourne and includes a day spa, spinal clinic, yoga studios, and pilates studios. Senior Associate Emily Addison of Studio Tate states that "It was important to create a textural earthiness that evokes the senses while striking a balance between sophistication and approachability."

The studio used materials including green marble, hand-glazed Japanese tiles, and honed granite to create the build of the reception area, encouraging visitors to relax and browse the products before entering their treatments. As they enter, the tones are purposely darker to "encourages a continuous experience of the venue."
