Studio Arte is an architecture firm appointed with the task of updating an older house from the 1960s based in Portugal. The old design was used more for a vacation spot, but the owners were looking to transform the space into a more permanent home.
To meet these demands, Studio Arte tried to open up the space more so that there weren't so many divides between the inside and outside areas. Since the weather is so nice for most of the year, there was no point having sections blocked off from the sun outside. The firm did this by placing items like shutters in the kitchen area that could be opened up onto the patio outside, which also helps for socializing when the owners have guests over.
