There are dozens of places around the world where street art tours are carried out, but Heritage Toronto wanted to open up the experience of exploring its iconic Graffiti Alley to anyone, no matter where they are in the world.
Heritage Toronto worked with the Havas Worldwide agency in order to put together the 'Graffiti Alley Instatour' on Instagram. When the 'graffitialley.to' account is viewed from a mobile device held in a horizontal format, users are able to scroll side-to-side in order to see the longest continual photo of graffiti in the world. For this project, 800 photos were captured and stitched together in order to create this virtual replica of the artful alleyway.
This social media "travel tour" now offers a colorful way for people all over the world to virtually visit one of the most artful places in the Canadian city.
