In an unexpected partnership, premium whiskey brand Glenfiddich has teamed up with Stephanie Fung, a digital artist specializing in 3D animation, to launch a limited-edition NFT fashion collection named 'The Filigree Aesthetic.' The digital-only clothing line will be auctioned off via Foundation, a popular NFT marketplace, and creative hub.
The collection is said to be inspired by 'The Grande Composition,' a diverse group of artists that includes Mzukisi Mbane, Malwina Konopacka, and David Aiu Servan-Schreiber. Each NFT offering works to reimagine the works of these three disparate artists who hail from South Africa, Poland, and the UK, respectively. According to the company, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to organizations that aim to assist and promote young digital artists.
"Digital wearables will be the next big thing within NFTs, and people will be able to utilize them within AR, VR, or metaverses," said Fung, predicting the future direction of online fashion.
