I'm not one to get jealous of other artists, but I'll make an exception for Steph Stamb's work as he's perfected a style of art that I'm desperately working hard towards achieving. Seen here is his piece entitled 'SarAlice' in which Steph Stamb re-imagines Alice from the ever-popular Wonderland series as a sadistic bunny butcher. The bunny head in her hand is, of course, Frank from the cult favorite Donnie Darko, but my favorite part of this 'SarAlice' illustration is all of Alice's intense tattoos.
If you're a fan of Steph Stamb's wide-eyed painterly heroines, you can see more of his works in your local comic book store and also on his blog.
Implications - As the North American population continues its economic recovery, consumers are still craving products to distract them from their financial situations. As such, surrealistic artwork is in high demand. Corporations can capitalize on this by utilizing surreal imagery in their advertising campaigns.
