Earlier this year, Starwood Hotels & Resorts announced that it would be introducing an app that serves as a room key and now, it's continuing to push the envelope with a Google Glass app.
The SPG (Starwood Preferred Guest) Google Glass app is currently in beta mode, but it is being designed to help members search and book their hotel room using voice commands and a few simple gestures. With the Google Glass app, hotel guests will also be able to locate nearby attractions, go on a virtual tour of the hotel's suites, look up account info, view reservations and check up on their balance of Starpoints. By creating a convenient and rich visual experience through augmented reality, it makes it that much harder not to book a vacation.
