In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi, The Royal Mint created four official Star Wars coins that mark the third installment of the original Star Wars trilogy. To faithfully create these collectible sci-fi franchise coins, The Royal Mint collaborated with coin designer Ffion Gwillim and the Walt Disney Company.
On one coin, fans will see the image of R2-D2 and C-3PO inside the Millennium Falcon, and thanks a lenticular feature, the design of Tatooine and the Rebel Alliance Starbird emblem can be spotted at select angles. Additionally, there's a version of this Star Wars coin with R2-D2 and C-3PO in color.
For the rest of the series, collectors can look forward to seeing other familiar faces, including pairs like Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia, and Han Solo and Chewbacca.
