Recently opened in the heart of Sydney's Darlinghurst neighbourhood, Hopper Kadé is a pop-up specializing in authentic Sri-Lankan street food. The temporary eatery is already a hit among locals and serves up a menu of fresh and tasty dishes like its in-house hoppers recipe that is served inside edible bowls, along with a spiced beef brisket that requires 12 hours of prep.
Other crowd favorites on the menu include a traditional chai-spiced banana loaf, jaffles and roti wrap dishes. Opened by founders Ruvanie De Zoysa and Chris Goffin, Hopper Kadé serves up authentic Sri-Lankan cuisine inside a chic and Millennial-friendly setting.
De Zoysa recently described the venture as a desire to create "subcontinental dishes with Australian ingredients and flavor combinations to create a new style of cooking."
