Speyside Distillery Benriach Boasts a New Malting Season Addition

Speyside Distillery Benriach has introduced its third special edition scotch whisky, part of Malting Season—a range that is released on an annual basis and that pays homage to a century-old tradition upheld by only eight Scottish distilleries. This third edition by Speyside Distillery Benriach presents a single malt crafted using barley exclusively from the distillery's historic floor maltings.

The newest special edition scotch whisky uses concerto barley and matures in virgin oak and first-fill bourbon casks. The hand malting process, performed onsite, is a nod to founder John Duff's historic maltings and continues in the pursuit of exceptional flavor. Malting Season Third Edition offers malt sweetness on the nose with flavors like clementine, floral honey, malted almond, and wild cherry. Its ABV measures at 48.3%.
