Sopa Design Studio has come up with a distinct paper holder made from laser cut steel. The piece is called 'Paolino,' and was made as a result of a workshop held during the Milan Design Week in 2014.
As stated on DesignBoom, "for the product, thin slits located perpendicular to the short edges of the filleted rectangular form have been laser cut out of two overlapping steel plates." Paper then rests in between these steel plates, with a thin heavy material slotted into the slitted sections. This keeps the paper in place, while maintaining a clean design that will look good on anyone's organized desk.
