French designer Mathieu Lehanneur recently unveiled solar street lamps that resemble forest trees. Each tree-like lamp looks as though it has mushrooms growing out of the top, which are actually the light source.
The lamps are titled 'Clover' and feature an accompanying pair of wooden stools that rest directly below the light source. The entire structure appears to be handcrafted and organically made, but the piece of architecture is actually made using "an unprecedented industrial process."
These solar street lamps were created for the 2015 Paris Climate Conference. The ultimate goal for this project was to recreate a forested tree in the middle of a city, which actually uses an all-natural power source.
