Using over 10,000 photographs, these collage-like images by Japanese photographer Sohei Nishino are astonishing. Nishino spent months working on these pieces, which he calls diorama maps.
The black and white images were made using a collage of over 10,000 contact sheets. Each set of film comes with a contact sheet listing what photos were printed from what roll of film, which makes it easier to view as opposed to negatives.
It took over six months for Sohei Nishino to snap all of the required shots, but the end product proves that old school photography is definitely worth the effort. The photos will be on display at the Festival Des Arts Visuels De Vevey until September 30th.
