SOCO Marketplace is an online shopping website based in Brooklyn, New York. The web design is easily organized so that you can either shop by product (accessories, clothing, books, paper goods, cosmetics, etc.), initiative (water, human trafficking, hunger, poverty, education, etc.) or by region.
Jenny Long founded SOCO as simply a list of of businesses that were socially minded and it evolved into the online marketplace that it is. The idea first sprung because Long was volunteering internationally and recognized that many people wanted to help to make social problems better but didn't know how to go about it. SOCO was a simple way for her to contribute -- and also help others contribute.
