Social Enterprise West Midlands (SEWM), founded in 2007, is a consultancy and network that focuses exclusively on social entrepreneurship. Holding the Social Enterprise Mark, SEWM now has over 400 members. Much like many networks and websites devoted to social business, its goal is to raise awareness so that more people are aware of what exactly social enterprise is, but the organization goes further to share knowledge through networking and also influencing policy direction.
In the featured video, you can meet the Midland Heart contractors. Midland Heart is a housing organization working in the United Kingdom and in January of 2012, the two organizations hosted a 'Meet the Buyer' event together, which brought about 60 companies and social enterprises.
