Estúdio Protobox Designs the São Leopoldo Mandic School

Estúdio Protobox took on the design project of refreshing the tutoring rooms and halls at the São Leopoldo Mandic School of Medicine and Dentistry. The main foal was to bring more contemporary aesthetics to the interiors to appeal to the new generations of physicians. The school is in Campinas, Brazil and the last time that it has gotten an update was over 20 years ago.

The founding partner of Estúdio Protobox, Wilson Barbosa Neto shares, "The rooms and the surroundings were dull gray and blue. One of our first strategies was to bring in bolder colors for wayfinding but also to create a vibrant atmosphere." The walls of all the hallways, graphics, and colors were selected to represent the human body and anatomy reflecting the corresponding classes.
