Dilan Manahan, the senior designer at The Young Astronauts who is more widely-known as Dead Dilly, has come up with 'Sneaker Melts.'
Some of the best things in life are combinations: peanut butter and jelly, oreos and milk, bacon and eggs. I realize those are all food examples, but the same logic applies to shoes. So, what if you could pull all of the elements from your favorite shoes and combine them to create The. Greatest. Sneaker. Ever? This is what Dilly does, sort of. Some of the designs in the project are people's favorite designs "melted" into one. Others are a creative of labor of love from Dilly himself; experiments, if you will.
Dilly's own designs tend to be more futuristic -- with such a brilliant mind, he is keen to imagine what the world of athletic footwear will look like in the years to come.
