Design studio Muista introduced a new set of ergonomically friendly chairs entitled 'Smart Sitting.' The label previously unveiled a seating system with the same concept in mind, but this time, it has returned with a more contemporary sleek look. Similar to its original, Muista created a chair that's symmetrical and can be used in two interchangeable ways -- either in a side-to-side straddled position or a front-to-back traditional seating position. The updated iteration features a minimal fusion of both bent wood and soft felt upholstery. This form enables users to balance their posture without thought.
Additional benefits are that it stimulates several muscles groups, especially the core, and it improves circulation and relieves stress. The chairs also focus on a fidgeting philosophy as Muista believes that sitting still is not beneficial for the body, so the design enables natural subconscious movement while working.
