Contemporary Smart Scanners

The SnapLite is a Smart Scanner that Scans Real-Time Objects

Japan-based company PFU Limited came up with a way to eliminate the middle man with its recently unveiled SnapLite smart scanner. Instead of having to take a picture, get it developed, scan it onto your computer and then send it to your phone, this scanner simply snaps, uploads and links up with your phone simultaneously.

The SnapLight acts as a sleek LED lamp that holds your iPhone in place over the image or object you wish to photograph. It then connects to your iPhone via a Bluetooth-enabled app and uploads the photo right into it.

The smart scanner boasts features like framing lasers, automatic trimming, angle correction and the ability to combine multiple scans into one picture. It even doubles as a desk lamp that can be controlled by your smartphone, so if you are in bed and don’t want to get up to turn off the light, all you need to do is switch it off from the palm of your hand.
