The Smart First Aid Kit Connects Patients and Their Injuries to the Internet

The Smart First Aid Kit from Footfalls and Heartbeats combines an old world design with new world technology. This first aid kit is made almost entirely out of wood and was designed by Richard Clarkson. The kit is designed to help people who get injured while out and about by connecting them and their injuries to the web.

The Smart First Aid Kit has sensors that allow you to transmit the severity of your injury to an online network. Through that network, you can see how your injury matches up with others and also see what level of treatment you need. Clarkson designed the Smart First Aid Kit out of wood to first and foremost catch the eye of people and other designers. The second reason behind the wood finish was to make people feel safer and more natural while using the medical aid inside of the kit. The kit is just a concept for now, but Footfalls and Heartbeats is hoping to expand upon their e-patient first aid kit someday.
