Simple Sloping Sanctuaries

The Skyscape Church is Sleek and Contemporary

The Skyscape Church is a beacon of hope for many reasons. Not only would it be a place for religious practice, but it would also replace the old Vaaler church from 1805 that was burnt down in the spring of 2009. A stunningly simple and sloping structure, the Skyscape Church would provide a safe sanctuary to those in of one.

Designed by WE Architecture, a studio based in Copenhagen, the Skyscape Church would be located further east than the original one. It features a flexible floor plan, which allows the Skyscape Church to be used for other purposes when church is not in session. A large room off of the church can easily be used for concerts and markets.
