This stunning pastel-hued oasis is a Singapore restaurant designed to put guests at ease. The delicately hued space is characterized by its rich suplpy of natural light that illuminates the room and its careful approach to decor, which manages to be astonishingly minimalist as well as warm and inviting.
Designed by Takenouchi Webb, the Whitegrass Restaurant is situated within the former national monument building that was recently transformed into a series of modern public facilities. Previously the home of Singapore's city hall and Supreme Court, the national monument buildings are the now the home of the Singapore National Art Gallery, which houses another restaurant, the Odette. The national monument buildings were recently reopened following an intensive decade-long series of renovations.
