Triangular Album Art

Simon Delart Only Uses Triangles to Honor These Movie Soundtrack Composers

In an artistic homage to to the movie soundtrack, Simon Delart created album art by cleverly arranging triangles. Based out of Paris, the graphic designer reimagined the geometric cover images in a series called Vinyl Collection. This work honors the composers who gave us some of the world's most epic and memorable soundtracks.

From Star Wars to Edward Scissorhands and Lord of the Rings to Inception, these pop culture-inspired record sleeves not only capitalize on the return of the vinyl record, but also make use of geometric shapes -- something we're seeing much more of in packaging. The triangular usage is reminiscent of the music video for Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye featuring Kimbra. To achieve this effect, Simon Delart used the Illustrator program and Photoshop for simulations according to his Behance page.
