If there is one thing I hate about Christmastime, it’s trying to untangle the lights. It is a hopeless task, as you well know—the strand will never become fully untangled, and the best you can wish for are smaller-sized knots of lights. Photographer June Asheim obviously knows this pain all too well, as is evident in her ‘Showtime’ collection.
Now I have had some bad mishaps with holiday lights before, but nothing ever this perilous. How she got tangled up in such a mess is anyone’s guess. The Showtime collection is really more than just art, it’s a lesson: don’t wear strands of lights as clothing.
