For the longest time, the only shoe try-on experiences that consumers have been able to take advantage of were to go into a brick-and-mortar shop and physically get a feel for different footwear styles. Thanks to a new augmented reality app from Wannaby called Wanna Kicks, shoppers are now able to virtually try on various shoe styles.
The app uses a mobile device's camera and screen to create a realistic representation of what different footwear styles would look like on one's feet from different angles in real-time. So far, Wanna Kicks is now showing 10 styles of sneakers from brands like Nike, adidas, Puma and New Balance. Once an app user has found a style that suits their preferences, Wanna Kicks helps them locate the brand's footwear style online.
