This absolutely tremendous Hanging Garden sculpture by Shinji Turner-Yamamoto was recently installed in the abandoned Holy Cross Church of Cincinnati, Ohio.
The seemingly levitating earthly artwork consists of a living tree supported by an inverted and uprooted dead tree. The whole thing is suspended in the deserted Queen City church, and is part of the artist's larger Global Tree Project.
Shinji Turner-Yamamoto says "By taking tree out of its natural context, I invite viewers to experience nature in a novel more contemplative way.†Very cool.
