DesignPublic is selling three very unique yoga mats with realistic graphic prints. They were designed by Doreen Hing and are retailing for $95 each. The former shoe designer was bored at looking at everyone's cookie cutter yoga mats at the gym, so decided to put her artistic talents to work.
"Mats need carriers, other yoga accessories need roomy tote bags, and before she knew it she had a whole company's worth of designs," DesignPublic said. "She and Jennifer McKinley formed Plank, which brings a welcome measure of wit and design flexibility both to the surprisingly stiff world of yoga and to life outside the classroom, using fun graphics and strong color combinations."
The Plank mat makes it easy to image you're doing your sun salutation on the boardwalk. It resembles a worn piece of wood, complete with detailed grooves and a few seashells in the corner.
The Shag mat is absolutely hilarious! It looks like an authentic cushy, retro shag carpet, complete with hand prints. The Cobra mat will let you feel like you're doing stretches in a grassy meadow.
