Those who appreciate Dominique Regnier’s sculptures of faceless female forms liken his work to that of Michelangelo, whose carvings also depicted incomplete bodies.
Feminists, however, view Regnier’s headless marble women as little more than a gratuitous objectification of women by an artist who shows a complete disregard for women as people.
Rather than taking sides on the issue, I will just make the point that the artist does seem to have a fascination with generous, round buttockses.
