Harmoniously Clustered Nature Abodes

The Sentosa House is an Open-Concept Island Paradise

Nicholas Burns Associates undertook a project for a private client in need of an airy and flexible space, with the end result being the 'Sentosa House,' an interestingly arranged, dimensional abode located on Singapore's Sentosa island. The house is comprised of several independent units assembled around a core structure, creating a spatially efficient home.

The house makes use of recycled materials such as golden teak, concrete, stone and steel. The exterior is clad in vertical wooden beams, creating a simple and linear aesthetic. Glass paneling allows for the diffusion of natural light whilst simultaneously blurring the boundaries between indoors and outdoors.

The finished product is a seamlessly connected, open-space home with an emphasis on eco-consciousness. Beyond its unique composition, the rich materials provide a textured interior.
